Welcome
My wife Lynda and I made home in Costa Rica 6 years ago. I came here to retire, but too many opportunities presented themselves and I couldn’t resist...First making some real estate investments, then starting this real estate company...one and ½ years ago, a restaurant and more. My business background has served me well and I am enjoying the business and living in my adopted country.
What drew me here to begin with was the people. We have some close Costa Rican (Tico) friends and business partners. You will not find more friendly inhabitants. Maybe because they are the happiest people on earth according to an independent research group in the UK.

There are two economies in Costa Rica. The Central Valley in some ways has benefited from the financial tsunami that has flooded the globe. While many are being laid off in North America, multinational companies (H-P, Western Union, IBM, Oracle) are hiring the well educated bi-lingual Costa Ricans. Many multinationals that have their back office operations in Costa Rica pay a THIRD of the cost of salaries in North America and as a ‘plus’ you will probably get a more dedicated worker.
Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast has suffered the most. Developments that were being planned have stopped, but prices have not had that downward trend like some parts of the USA. The creative financing that went on in the USA that ultimately depressed the real estate market is not available in Costa Rica, allowing for a more stable market particularly in the Central Valley.
Over 50 Homes are under construction in two upscale developments, Valley del Sol and Villa Real. Among the over 300 upscale homes in both developments very few homes are for sale.
