My experience at the school

My experience at the school was very memorable. I think it is a perfect combination of a multicultural environment, European disciple and lifestyle, learning three languages perfectly with high standards in academics (especially the technical/science aspects), as well as complemented varied activities such as music and sports.

Although the school starts teaching the English language in 5th grade, it is a perfect time for taking in a third language and since Costa Rica has strong connections with the American culture, it is easy to get used to the

English language and practice it outside the school. I would say that a key factor in the teaching of English at the school is that the grammar/formal aspects of the language are taught very strictly and methodically.

I would say about 50% of the students are ticos, and the rest are comprised by students of German and other European descent, as well as complimented with South American, and other nationalities. I personally had classmates from Bolivia, Colombia, Nicaragua, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Russia, Germany, Sri Lanka, among others.

I would consider the education at this school to be outstanding. The availability of the German/European Baccalaureate is certainly a plus for students wanting to study in the US or in Europe. In addition, the emphasis on science and quantitative subjects serves very well for students who want to pursue careers in those areas. And in terms of cost, the school is below average when taking into account tuition and all related expenses.
