Lincoln School
Grades:
Pre-K - 12 Lincoln is Costa Rica’s largest private school with 1100 children enrolled. It just relocated to a new campus near Heredia. Currently it is the best campus that Costa Rica has to offer (in terms of sports, technology, space, and newness). Classes are taught in English following the United States curriculum and United States calendar. ESL & SSL are offered in addition to the regular schedule. What distinguishes Lincoln from other private English-speaking schools is that it offers all three diplomas, the International Baccalaureate (IB), Costa Rican National Baccalaureate (MEP), and the United States Diploma.

Testimonials
As an alumnus of Lincoln
As an alumnus of Lincoln School I can say that my experience at this school was wonderful. I grew up in the USA and attended an excellent elementary and middle school. In 8th grade my family moved to Costa Rica and my parents did extensive research on what English speaking school to send my siblings and myself. Their goal was to find a place that would provide us with an excellent education, continue our English language foundation and at the same time teach us Spanish as well as Latin American culture. Lincoln was the answer.
Lincoln has a student population that is about 85% Tico yet about 90% of the classes are taught in English. (Spanish and Civics are the only courses taught in Spanish.) Many of the teachers are American or Canadian, which allows for the students to have a good handle on property English pronunciation. The level of education was equivalent or better that what I was used to in the USA.
I graduated from a class of 95 students and about 30 – 40% of these students went on to study abroad in the United States or in Europe. Lincoln school provides counselors during senior year to help guide students in the process of applying to the university. I myself graduated from the University of Notre Dame. And in my graduating class I had peers that went to universities such as Harvard, Cornell, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Boston College, Davidson, Wake Forest, etc.
I believe that Lincoln School offers parents and their children a great education, excellent English and at the same time a Latin American cultural experience. I would recommend this school to anyone.
